When I agreed to sell this videos, I was a bit put off by the price.  Could I really justify selling any video at this sort of price?  I took a long time to actually watch one myself because if I didn’t see it, I could plead ignorance!  Anyway, having watched this one, I was glad I did.  There is a huge amount of material on here.  Some broken down, others not!  There are at least 7 pieces of choreography shown by different dancers (these are not broken down), as well as the technique sections.  When Raqia introduces steps, she goes over them slowly and repeats to give you the chance to follow.  Then you have to practise by yourself.  Some of the steps covered:  Step combinations & travelling steps, circles & combinations, figures 8’s with combinations and undulations.  Raqia demonstrates a few turns and also some side to side combinations and hip patterns.

There is a whole tabla section for anyone wanting to learn the tabla.

Shalaby and Ehab demonstrate the mens stick dance.  Laila also performs a choreography with stick.

Choreographies include:  Oriental entrance number, stick dance, Nubian, pop number, shamadan (candelabra) and more oriental numbers.

Dancers performing these include: Soraya, Laila, Yasmina, Carolin, Shams & Amar.

Dandash demonstrates some of her famous hip movements though these are not broken down.  She also does a khaleegi (Gulf) dance.  

Soraya demonstrates and breaks down the Brazillian shimmy for those that want to expand their shimmy repertoire!
