Postage & Packing - UK:
Costs have been calculated
and added to the total cost of your order for you. If you decide to
order two or more items to be shipped at the same time, the Farida
dispatch group will recalculate the shipping cost for you and contact
you to advise you of the new reduced amount.
Postage costs have
dramatically increased for some things, and are now more complicated
with shape, size and value also adding to the cost. Sometimes next
day delivery is cheaper than 5 day delivery once insurance has been
added!
Insured Items - please read
We offer an insured option for expensive costumes, however we can send any item insured if you prefer - if the
insured option does not appear as an option with your chosen item, please contact us and we will find out a cost for you - this also applies to overseas orders. If you are ordering several things together and total value is more than £50 again we can advise on insured post.
Missing post -
We have had a small number of items go missing. In the UK, if an item was sent ordinary 1st or 2nd class, a claim can be made to the post office for up to £32, although it is not guaranteed that the amount will be reimbursed by the post office, especially without proof of postage. If you choose to use ordinary post and it goes missing when we send it out, we will investigate through the post office, and may be able to refund or replace(if we still have the item in stock). However this can take several weeks. If you are returning an item to us we cannot refund you until we receive the item. If it goes missing you would have to investigate with the post office, so make sure you get proof of postage. For international orders please read the international section.
If you are ordering an
expensive costume we STRONGLY advise you go for insured postage, even
though it adds to the cost, we cannot replace or reimburse costly items
that go missing and are not sent via insured mail. We can measure
any item for you before sending it out, and also advise you of postage
costs and options, as postage is not normally
reimbursed.
Returns -Please click left to read our returns policy. RE postage We regret we are unable to re-imburse postage costs. If a refund is required for any goods then it will be minus postage.
If you have paid by credit card, your card will be credited with any refund. If you paid by cash / cheque, a cheque will be sent to you. I aim to process all refunds within 4 - 5 working days of receiving the goods back in the office. If you are returning a more expensive item, I suggest you take out insurance as I cannot refund any items if I do not receive them back
Next day delivery - UK:
It depends when your e-mail
is sent. If at all possible, we will dispatch the same day - if
this is not possible, we will make every effort to post out any orders
within 24 hours. If your order is not received until 3pm on
Thursday, it may be Friday before it is posted. The post office
only guarantee next day delivery on working days. So it would be
Monday before you received your order. 90% of orders however, do
reach our customers the next working day.
International Delivery:
When you place your order, we
will contact you with the amount postage will be. If you are not
in a rush, it works out a lot cheaper! If your order is worth over £40, or you want to track the progess of your item,we strongly advise you go for insured postage as we have had some overseas postage go missing, especially to France. We would find out costs for you. We cannot replace valuable items which have not been insured. In certain circumstances we may be able to replace less costly items, once we have investigated with the post office, but this can take several weeks.
UK post is only tracked if it is sent insured, our prices on the website are for ordinary overseas post, not insured post.
