For those that want
to do and see everything! A mixture of sightseeing and dance shows
included. But there are still additional things you can do as well.
Time and energy permitting.
If you want to do
all the 'inclusive' things, it works out cheaper to take this option.
Everything on the Felaheen is included here:
Transfers from
airport to hotel and back.
6 nights B&B at 3
star hotel in Downtown Cairo.
Felucca trip on
Nile.
El Tannoura Whirling
Dervish show.
Late night in
'seedy
club'. Live music and bad dancing!
Visits to:
costumiers, Madam Hekmat,
Hanan, Eman etc
& as many others as
people want / have the energy for.. Raqia Hassan has also opened
an atellier now.
Visit to
Khan el
Khalili, Cairos biggest market.
Visit
Mahmouds -
belly dancers paradise.
Experience Cairo's
metro system & explore places off the beaten tourist track with Kay &
Nibal.
Plus:
Sightseeing:
Egyptian museum,
Citadel & Mohamed Ali Mosque.
Dance events:
Casablanca restaurant -
dinner, show and band - Dancer: Soraya.
Grand Hyatt or Nile Maxim - dinner &
show whilst we cruise down the Nile - Dancer: Camelia or Asmahan.
Dina - 5 star luxury
with Egypt's top dancer, Dina.
Yasmina's - party
night with musicians and food.
Dance class - with
Raqia Hassan,
Aida Noor or another professional
dancer, depending who is available.
Felucca ride - sail down the Nile and
soak up the feel of Cairo.
Nile Pharon
- Dinner, show & Nile cruise. Over the top tat with gold and
hieroglyphics all around. A fun night. Dancer: There
are many dancers, we try & see Leila.
So - 5 of your evening
are included with food. Breakfast is included at the hotel.
All you need money for is lunch (Anything from £1 - £10 depending where
you eat), taxi fares (you can get to most places in Cairo for less than
£2) and drinks. Spirits are expensive, beer is the best value.
And of course shopping money. If you plan to buy costumes, you can
spend a fortune. They are such good value compared with the UK.
1/2 - 2/3rds the price. Also you see a much bigger range of
designs. People come having promised themselves one costume and
generally leave with 2 or 3. From the costumiers they cost between
£100 and £250. Most are around £180 for a fabulous fitted
creation. If this is your only time there, my advice is 'go on,
treat yourself!'. If you choose this option and pay for the trip &
activities up front, you won't feel as if you are spending as much
through the week so can buy more costumes, jewellery or whatever,
without feeling guilty!
You also have me
(Kay), Yasmina and

& history, there are additional activities. Nibal studied art
history at university & is a great guide to have as she is knowledgeable
in lots of areas and delights in sharing it with people on these tours.
