Founder of the internationally famous 'Reda Troupe'.

Mahmoud initially trained as a gymnast and represented Egypt in International events. He is also ballet trained.  Mahmoud Reda wanted to bring Egypt's folk dances to the theatre and keep them alive, making them accessible to everyone.  He travelled around, recording folk dances from different regions and then adapted them to stage.  Because of his work he has become a national hero.

Many of today's dancers initially trained with the Reda Troupe.

He teaches the folkloric style which is influenced by western dance so as to make it more entertaining on the stage.
