Everyone goes here.  Both Egyptian locals, Egyptian tourists and foreign tourists.  A fun place to go.  'Welcome to Alaska'.  'Look, you dropped something' and when you look …. 'My heart'.  All good natured banter.  Watch the quality but many bargains to be had.

Try El Fishawy, coffee shop and Shisha bar.  Sit and watch the people teaming past.  You will be offered watches, rugs, dolls, bracelets and possibly a kitchen sink! Also the location of the fabulous Mahmoud's. The beggars can be upsetting.
