Mohamed Kazafy has been dancing with the world famous Reda troup of
Egypt for 13 years. He was one of their principal soloists.
Kazafy joined Fer'et el Negoum in October 2004 and we were lucky enough
to have him join us in the UK with the group in March 2005.
Since touring with the Farha Tour last year, Kazafy has been back to
England to teach with the legendary Farida Fahmy. He is becoming a much
sought after teacher on the international circuit. We are delighted to
announce his return with the Farha tour & the Cairo nights show.
Kazafy has a wicked sense of humour which lightened many long journeys
on the tour in 2005.
Kazafy sometimes teaches classes for Kay’s groups in
Cairo.
Students love his classes. When he can, he joins the party nights and
is happy do boogie with the girls.
Farha Tour Australia Nov 2008 and Farha Festival Luxor May 2009
Kazafy is a fabulous
teacher - his classes are fun and jam packed with material. He is
a joy to learn with and often a favourite with groups in Cairo. A
professional dancer, he is also a joy to watch. Focusing on mens
Saidi dance, I hope to encourage men in the UK to give it a go.
Nothing like this has been on offer in the UK before - come and give it
a go.
If
you are interested in booking him to teach or perform in the UK, e-mail
kay@faridadance.com or

Quote from previous show:
Mohamed Kazafy’s dance to Abdel Halim Hafiz’s song, sung by Safaa
Farid, was just so emotional & mesmerising. Annemarie Diaj
