dancer & musician is what makes this dance form so unique & special’.
The fantastic Farha Festival had rave reviews when it came to Newcastle, however expenses of bringing the band and dancers to the UK were huge, so, the only way to make it cost effective is to run it in Egypt. May 2009's Festival will be held in the fabulous surroundings of Luxor.
The festival will include live music from the Farha band, Feret el Negoum, dance classes in both Oriental and Folkloric styles, Tannoura class, lectures and shows. Classes with musicians and additional private lessons can be arranged.
Small classes - maximum 20 participants

All classes in English
There will be a free day mid week to do some sightseeing - or why not stay an extra week? Ask for options
If you have a friend or partner who is a non-dancer but would like to come along, there are loads of things to see and do and we have a special non-dancer price which includes 2 shows, party night and 7 nights B+B.
Prices - £550 (single supp £10 per night)
Includes 7 nights B+B
20+ hours of tuition, most dance classes with live music.
Rehearsal time with band - opportunity to perform solo or work with Folkloric troupe to perform on the last night.
2 Dance shows, party/performance night, DVD of performance night
Non-dancer rate £400 - includes 2 shows, party night, 7 nights B+B
