foreigners, and this tells Yasmina's story.

other dancers, and features 6 original dance sequences by Yasmina on location
around Cairo.
Directed by Sara Farouk, herself an
English dancer living in Cairo, this is a fascinating insight into the dance
world in Cairo
Quotes
finally got to see Journey of Desire, I thought it was really really fantastic. I was moved to tears several times during it (not least at Morocco's emotional description of tarab!), I'm recommending it to everyone I've met since. It's really a fabulous film. Apart from the great dancing (of course!), the information in between tableaux about the dance and the culture is really valuable for dance students and enthusiasts - and for those who don't know what it's all about. I absolutely love it and can't wait to see it again. I'll get myself a copy.A.O
